The Trishuli River
Due to proximity to Kathmandu and
easy road access, this is one of the
most
popular of Nepal's raft able rivers.
This river is easy and tremendous
excitement and experience even for
the first time rafters. Either trip
to
Pokhara or trip to Chitwan can be
gone easily after rafting.
The Bhote Koshi River
It takes you about 3 hours driving
from Kathmandu either by bus or
private
vehicles reach at Bhote Koshi River.
It is exciting and bit tough river
for
the best 2 days rafting.
The Sun Koshi River
The "River of Gold" is considered
one of the ten best rafting/kayaking rivers in the world. From Raighat
(Day 5) it is only one day's trek to
the
Mount Everest view point, so an
optional detour is possible.
The Kali Gandaki River
A total of 105 km covered in 3 days
with excellent white water, and
magnificent mountain views of the
Annapurna South and Fishtail Peak
(Machhapuchere) including deep
gorges where you will experience
intense
rapids and wilderness.
The Seti River
The short Seti River makes for an
ideal two days introduction to
rafting.
From the put in point at Damauli,
the Seti merges into the Trisuli on
the
second day. This trip offers
beautiful mountain views of the
Annapurna
South, Fish- tail and Lamjung Himal.
The Karnali River
The Karnali River is lies in the far
west of Nepal and it is the largest
and
the longest river. Two days trek is
needed from Surkhet to reach staring
point of the rafting. This river
will be the world's most famous
rapids
passing through wilderness
uninterrupted by humans. You
previous rafting
experience and physical fitness will
help you as a extra bonus to make it
easier.
The Marshyangdi River
With 52 km. Of boiling foam
sandwiched between towering peaks,
Marshyangdi
flows through the gorges of
Annapurna. Besisahar is the rafting
starting
point and the ending point is
Bimalnagar on the Prithivi Highway.
What should you bring ?
Please, bring yourself a set of
cloths which are loose and
comfortable for
your rafting such as T- shirt, half
pants, sandals, sun glass, hat, sun
screen, towels, set of dry clots,
torch, sun lotion, and medicine etc.
These
things are basically used at the
campsites after the rafting. Insect
repellents are also advised. |
