

Bhutan's isolation has resulted in its culture and traditional remaining much the same for many hundreds of years. Our introductory 8 days Western Bhutan Culture tour will be through the stunning beautiful alpine valleys flanked by steep slopes and terraced pastures dotted with temple. The highlight of tour will be visits to Simtokha Dzong within the tiny capital township of Thimpu and the Taktsang Monastery that clings to a sheer 3,000 foot rock face cliffs. Festival (Tscechus) is held in Bhutan throughout the year at different locations. These festivals are celebration of faith, legends, myths and history of Bhutanese in ancient rituals of colorful dance and music. To co-inside a visit to Bhutan during the festive season would be an added bonus and even better way to observe the unique culture.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrival at the airport, welcome by our representative and transfer to the Hotel. At the hotel briefing about the program by our representative for tour tours
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu
Kathmandu - Patan: Morning visit to Durbar Square in Patan City, visit Krishna Temple, Golden Windows, Royal Bath, Mahabouddha and Golden Temple. After lunch visit Durbar Square in Kathmandu, living Goddess Kumari, the ferocious Kal Bhairab and hundreds of erotic carvings, swyambhu nata and boudha.
Day 03: Flight Kathmandu-Paro
The flight into the Himalaya reveals breathtaking views of the great peaks MT EVEREST, MT KANCHANJUNGA, MT CHOMOLHARI, MT JICHU DRAKE, etc., taking you right into the Dragon Kingdom’s scraping airstrip at PARO. On arrival you will be greeted and transferred through the beautiful PARO valley to Hotel. Evening talk & slide show on Bhutan - dinner & overnight at hotel.
Days 04: Sightseeing in Paro
Visit the old for ruins pf the DRUKGYAL DZONG (castle) which offers a very scenic drove of a typical Bhutanese landscape. On the clear day, the Mt CHOMOLHARI (7314 m), the sacred summit reaches skyward beyond the Dzong. On the way back, visit TA DZONG, the national museum housed in the ancient watch tower build in around 1651, situated a little above the PARO RIMPUNG DZONG. PM: After lunch, scenic drive to THIMPU (65 Km/2 hrs) and visit MEMORIAL CHORTEN, SCHOOL FOR PAINTING & MEDICINE, the national library and Bhutanese handicraft center - overnight at hotel.
Days 05: THIMPU - PARO
Visit TASHICHO DZONG (presently Govt. secretariat building which requires special permit for the visit. So, permit could be declined. In that case, visit is organized to have just an external view). After this, visit Bhutanese cottage industry for local paper production. PM: After lunch, drive back to PARO (2 hrs) and visit KICHU LAKHANG (the oldest monastery in BHUTAN) - Overnight at hotel.
Days 06: PARO - DEPARTURE
After early breakfast, drive to airport for departure flight to your onward destination
